In continuous downward trend is the industry aluminum profiles affected by the prolonged crisis of the internal market, although the industry is now ranked in the top export industries.
According to what was recently said the president of the Greek Aluminium Association Mr. Eleftherios Tafroglou who referred to the progress and current state of the aluminum industry.
As reported in 2007 recorded record sales in the internal market which absorbed 98 thousand. Tons, this year is estimated to be allocated around 30 thousand. Tons, accumulator until the end of 2012, there will be a reduction by 70% of the quantities available . The result is, all manufacturing industry companies, except 1-2 exceptions – to be more harmful.
The aluminum industry emerged in the first half of 2012 the first export sector of the country with high export 613.5 mil. Euro (about the industry of oil not included), among 99 branches; not according to the data of National Statistical Service of Greece (NSS), the aluminum exports represent 7.6% of the country’s exports.
